So, congratulations, you now have a new baby, but what about all the weight you gained while you were pregnant? Did you know you're eating for two, so do not worry too much, but now you've given birth, but still look pregnant. How are you going to lose weight and lose it for the sake of your child?

They could not believe that there is a great thing to be a mother is obese, but you probably be surprised by how difficult it is to lose pounds after you are Givenbirth to your wonderful baby. If you are breast feeding your baby, then you are still eating for two, and you must be very careful to ensure that both you and your baby are receiving the necessary nutrients for you to remain healthy. Keep a close eye on your baby's weight to make sure that he or she is growing at a satisfactory rate.

But if you are not nursing your baby, then unfortunately you are only eating for yourself, but for the past nine months, you have gotten used to eating for two, so it may take some adjusting to go back to eating for one. Again, even though you are cutting down, you still need to make sure that you are getting enough of the good foods, preferably while cutting out the sugary snacks!

One of the good things about being a Mom is that you now have to take care of someone else, putting their needs before your own, typically, and this means that you may not have as much time to eat as much! However, the temptation to pick up a treat for yourself may become stronger, treats because you are probably short on sleep these days, and feel that a tasty chocolate bar is deserved! I agree that you deserve a treat, but now would be a good time to make sure you are getting enough fruits and vegetables in your diet, so that you will be a strong healthy Mom for your baby.

While you may be tempted to cut down drastically now that you are eating for one, a more gradual reduction in weight may be better for you long term, and make it easier for you to keep on going. Remember you need to have the strength to look after you baby at all hours of the day and night, and whenever the cry alerts you that he or she needs seeing to!

So, my suggestion is that whether you are nursing your baby, or not, that you try to have a balanced diet, eating those foods that you know are good for you, you know, fruits veggies, and some protein at each meal, and if you need to lose some weight, then just cut back a little gradually. To lose weight for your baby's sake is an excellent idea, since before long you'll be chasing them all over the place!
